Screw Barrel: The main body is typically made of high-strength, wear-resistant materials (e.g., alloy steel like 38CrMoAlA or nitrided steel) to withstand friction, high pressure, and elevated temperatures from molten materials (plastics, rubber, or food-grade compounds). Its inner surface is precision-machined to match the screw’s geometry, ensuring tight clearance for efficient material conveying and mixing.
Copper Tube Winding: Thin-walled copper tubes (often seamless, with diameters ranging from 6mm to 20mm) are helically wrapped around the outer surface of the barrel. The tubes are securely fixed (e.g., via welding, clamping, or embedding in grooves) to ensure close contact with the barrel, maximizing heat transfer. Copper is chosen for its excellent thermal conductivity (≈401 W/m·K at 20°C), far superior to steel, making it ideal for rapid heat exchange.

Working Principle: Thermal Regulation

The copper tubes act as a conduit for a heat transfer medium (usually water, oil, or glycol) that circulates through the winding. This enables precise control of the barrel’s temperature
